Moving into Shopify POS

Bring your product catalog, customer records, and opening inventory into a structure your stores can use. We review variants, SKUs, barcodes, location assignments, and the existing Shopify catalog before deciding how to import.

Shopify offers migration tools for selected platforms. Our service adds the preparation, mapping decisions, exception handling, and verification needed for the agreed project.

Moving away from Shopify POS

A change at the register may also affect the catalog and inventory used by your Shopify online store. We begin by understanding whether ecommerce is staying on Shopify and which system will manage each dataset after the move.

The plan identifies the records to transfer and any integration work that needs to happen alongside it.

Give each dataset the right treatment

Customer contact imports do not bring in order history. Inventory across multiple locations also needs its own mapping. Historical orders, loyalty, gift cards, and store credit are reviewed separately.

For outbound gift cards, Shopify’s standard export shows only the last four characters of a card code. We discuss the options before promising that existing cards can continue working in another system.

A defined migration service

Your confirmed scope explains the supported records, preparation, test, production transfer, and reconciliation. Start by sharing your current platform, intended destination, locations, and the data your staff need to keep using.

Keep the online store and POS catalog aligned

Before importing, identify whether the Shopify store is new or already trading. Keep a mapping to existing product and variant IDs, agree which records can be updated and reconcile stock at each location. The POS change and any ongoing integration need separate owners.
